17-Feb-2008 KINGS MILLS - OH - Why so much wind? By Daniel Bingamon Maybe you've noticed. Some Kings Mills residents say that there has been more wind in recent years. There may be an answer regarding the trend. It is my opinion: In recent years, Mason and West Chester have grown greatly in population. It is out of control. This growth has stemmed the building of many houses. There used to be a lot of woodland much much of it has been removed. For some reason, Mason calls itself "Tree City", it's more like a weed city - growing and strangling everything in it's path. Or maybe it's called "tree city" because of the great number of trees that have been felled.
So, if the increased wind is due to all that confounded "Urban Development", the problem will continue. Let's hope they come to their senses before Warren county becomes the next dust bowl. Ever read about the dust bowl? Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust_bowl |
